Neighborhood

In the upper part of the elegant Chiaia district, the heart of the city’s shopping scene, and the residential Vomero neighbourhood. An ideal base – quiet yet central – from which to soak up the city’s atmosphere and reach the best attractions on foot, via the nearby funiculars or by underground. All around, there is a wealth of choice for those who love strolling amongst art, history and nature, with spectacular views of the city: the Floridiana Park, the Duca di Martina Museum, Castel Sant’Elmo and the Certosa di San Martino; or to take a stroll through the Art Nouveau streets, such as Via Luigia Sanfelice and Via Filippo Palizzi, with their panoramic views; or to venture down the ancient stairways (Petraio, Pedamentina and Santa Maria Apparente) that cut through the hill, linking the upper and lower parts of the city.
